I can still remember the exact moment I felt a calling to write. It was when I was in high school, and a close friend of mine asked me to write a short story for her English class. Of course, I said yes. She gave me a task and a prompt, and I sat down at my computer and started typing. I had no clue what would happen, but the words just kept flowing out of me.
