Why I Wrote This Ebook

I have always wanted to write an ebook, but lacked the confidence to do so. I saw so many people raving about the success of other authors, whose stories seemed to inspire them. I knew I could do it, but didn’t have the courage to try. Then, one day, I was scrolling through Twitter and came across an author named Melinda Mozgai. I quickly noticed that her tweets were all about her upcoming ebook and how she was promoting it. She had over 60,000 followers, and I assumed that she must have already written this amazing book. When she mentioned that she was hiring an editor, my heart skipped a beat. I had just the right person for the job!

I checked out her book, The Make-Up Artist Handbook, and loved it. It was so informational and packed with tips and tricks on how to use the best products for different types of makeup looks. Since I’m a makeup artist myself, I knew that this book would be great for me to have on hand. Not only that, but I would also be able to share some of my own makeup tips and tricks with her! So, I sent off an email expressing my interest in working with her, and shortly after, she replied that she would love to work with me on my eBook.

The Creation Process

I got to work right away, as I had some ideas for the book already. I emailed her with my ideas, and she replied with suggestions on how to improve them. We worked together to create a draft of the book, and then reviewed and edited it several times before it was perfect. The whole process took about three months. I would estimate that it was worth the effort, since the finished product was exactly what I had in mind when I decided to write the book.

The Results

I hit the ground running when it came to promoting my eBook, and was able to secure over 30 reviews and interviews in the first month alone. Within two months, my sales had doubled, and have continued to climb since then. I attribute this success to my following of established authors, as well as bloggers and journalists. This is especially helpful if you’re looking for organic reviews, as they tend to have more credibility.

Even now, two years later, my eBook is still going strong. I’ve sold over 16,000 copies since then, and have worked with over 100 people to establish themselves as experts in their fields. By actively engaging with my audience through social media, I’m able to keep my eBook at the top of the best seller lists, and continue to grow my business.

What’s Next

I have just released a follow-up book to The Make-Up Artist Handbook, called The Hair Styling Guide. It contains helpful information on how to choose the best hair products for different types of hair, and also includes detailed styling tips. My next project is already underway, and will be released in the summer of 2019. I’m really looking forward to sharing more about it with you all!

If you’re interested in writing an eBook, I’d definitely recommend getting in touch with an editor. They can help you turn your ideas into an actual book, and will be able to suggest suitable topics for you to author on.
