Where to Find Freelance B2B Copywriting Case Study Gigs

If you’re looking for a business to business (B2B) copywriter to help support your income, look no further.

What you need to know about this lucrative yet undervalued service sector is that there’s a ton of work available and plenty of freelancers looking to make a decent living off their copywriting skills. To help you navigate the ocean of opportunities, we’ve compiled a list of the best places to find freelance B2B copywriting case study gigs.

Let’s get to it.

Upwork

Launched in 2011, Upwork is one of the biggest platforms for freelancers and gig-workers to connect with businesses across the globe. More than 2 million people use Upwork to find work every day, and over 600,000 registered contractors offer a variety of services from copywriting to design and social media content creation. Upwork is a favorite of mine because of how user-friendly the platform is. It really makes finding work easy for anyone who’s looking to make some extra cash. You can also take advantage of the platform’s impressive selection of premium gigs, which are more lucrative than its standard ones. Just be sure not to rush into a decision before reading the fine print.

Elance

Elance, also launched in 2011, is another global freelancing platform that allows anyone with a LinkedIn profile to connect with potential clients. With over 400,000 registered users and over 100,000 daily job posts, Elance is the #2 freelancing platform globally according to Statista. It also has a lower booking fee than Upwork. While both platforms are incredibly flexible, Elance is slightly more specialized in B2B services, particularly marketing and communications. But that doesn’t mean that it’s not a great place to find freelance copywriting work.

The Desk

The Desk, which also started in 2011, is similar to Elance in that it connects freelancers with businesses across the globe, but it offers a different take on the service. Instead of having a strictly B2B focus, The Desk allows any business to connect with potential customers regardless of whether or not they’re buying products online. This includes not only marketing and copywriting but design, social media content creation, and editing. While the number of active users on The Desk is just over 200,000, there are over 100,000 jobs available every month, 80% of which are contract-based.

Gigster

If you’re looking for a more modern approach to finding freelance B2B copywriting work, then Gigster is the place to be. This is a platform that connects businesses with talented freelancers who are capable of taking on small projects. What sets Gigster apart from the rest is that it also connects businesses with freelancers who have existing credentials and portfolios. This way, the businesses know that they’re working with someone who has already proven themselves in the industry. It also requires less of a time investment for the clients since they can contact the freelancer directly through the platform.

FlexJobs

FlexJobs is another freelancing platform that has exploded in popularity in the last couple of years. Originally started in the United Kingdom in 2013, FlexJobs is fairly new to the United States, but it’s already gained a huge amount of popularity here. Similar to Upwork, FlexJobs is a place that allows freelancers to connect with businesses across the globe. But what makes this platform special is that FlexJobs encourages employers to post flexible job offers, which are essentially curated freelance jobs. In other words, FlexJobs is a great place to find short-term marketing and copywriting jobs.
