It’s a pain to lose your QuickBooks account password. Maybe you forgot it at home. Maybe it was stolen. Maybe there’s just something wrong with the brain computer interface whenever you try and log in.
Whatever the reason, you’ll eventually need to reset your password, and we have good news today: it’s actually quite simple.
Let’s get started.
Reset Your QuickBooks Password
You’ll need to head over to the Intuit website, log in, and click on “Forgot your password?”.
After you click on that link, you’ll need to fill out a brief form and select a new password. When you’re done, hit “Submit.”
If you’ve tried to reset your password in the past and it didn’t work, try again now. The odds are that Intuit has tweaked things a bit since then and made it easier to remember.
Recover Your Lost QuickBooks Account
Once you’ve submitted your request for a new password, you’ll get an e-mail from Intuit. It’ll look something like this:
Make sure you click on the link in the e-mail and you’ll be taken to the Reset Password page. From here, you’ll need to click on “Forgot original account holder’s email or phone?”
This will bring up a page where you can enter your email address. Make sure you type in the address exactly as it appears in your e-mail account.
After you’ve entered your email, click on “Send message” to send the reset link.
You’ll need to follow the directions on the website to activate your account. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to log in and get back to doing what you do best.
Congratulations! You’re a few steps closer to getting your account back. Why not celebrate by treating yourself to a nice cup of coffee or tea? You’ll need that energy later.
As you can see, there are multiple ways to reset your QuickBooks password. If you’ve tried to do this in the past and it didn’t work, try again now. The last thing you want to do is wait until your financial life is in disarray because you can’t get access to your accounts.
