How to Write a Book in 2013 – 4 Steps to Writing a Bestselling Ebook!

I’m always looking for ways to make money online, and one of the ways I’ve been making a steady stream of income is through ebooks. In case you’re curious, I highly recommend checking out the eBook industry since it’s one of the few industries that are growing consistently.

Whether you’ve got a bestseller already or you’re looking to get one, this eBook marketing guide will help you learn how to write a book in 2013 and effectively market it to make the most out of your efforts! Let’s get started.

Step one: Set a goal.

This is probably the most important step since this is what will dictate the rest of your journey as a writer. Your goal should be to write a bestseller, and you should set about accomplishing this by writing, publishing, and marketing your book appropriately. Remember, this is a long process and it can be quite the learning curve, so you might not hit your goal right away. However, you should certainly be aiming to get as close as possible.

Step two: Create a solid platform.

Once you’ve decided on your goal, you should move onto the next step, which is creating a solid platform for you to achieve it. For those of you who are looking to get your feet wet and want to try your hand at writing a book, you’ll want to start by creating a blog. A blog is a fantastic place to start, and you can do this easily through Alternatively, you can use a free blog platform like

Once you’ve got a blog set up, you can move onto the next step, which is creating a Facebook page. Having a Facebook page is incredibly important for any type of content creator, and it’s a must for anyone who is serious about making money online. Create a Facebook page for your blog, or if you’ve got a personal Facebook profile, create a business page for yourself. It’s important to note here that you should not use your personal profile for business purposes, as Facebook has a policy against non-personal use of business pages.

Step three: Build a community.

Now that you’ve got a platform in place, it’s time to move onto the next step, which is building a community. This is a lot easier said than done, but it’s an important step nonetheless. You can do this through various means, but one of the simplest ways is by participating in online forums that are related to your niche. For example, if you’re a food blogger, you’ll want to participate in forums related to food since your audience is most likely going to be there as well.

If you’re looking to make money from home, you might want to consider becoming a copywriter for an agency or a freelancer. You’ll be writing blogs and creating content for businesses, looking for people to read and engage with your content (i.e. your work).

Step four: Monetise your content.

This is the final step, and it’s where the rubber really meets the road, so to speak. Once you’ve got a sizable audience on your platform, it’s time to move onto the next phase and begin monetising your content. This can be a tricky process, especially if you’re new to it. However, there are a few ways to do it effectively. One way is through affiliate marketing. Here’s an example of how it works. You’ll write a review of a product, and when someone clicks on that product (i.e. buys it) you’ll be compensated (i.e. earns money). This can be a tricky process since you’ll have to ensure that you’re giving honest reviews and that you’re not just trying to up-sale the product yourself. Another way is through Google Adsense. You’ll write a review of a product and when someone clicks on that product, you’ll be shown a small ad. You have to work at getting quality adverts (not ads) since the system is based on the quality of the adverts you choose. This is where a lot of the money is since you can earn a decent chunk of change from adverts when someone clicks on those adverts. The last way to make money from a blog is through affiliate sales. You’ll need to set up a shopify store in order to get started with affiliate marketing. Once you’ve got a shopify store, you can create your own affiliate program and start gaining a passive income stream from blogging. Essentially, you’ll be generating sales from people living in countries where you’re not physically located, which is a pretty cool perk for an independent writer!

Remember, blogging is a form of content creation that can be done relatively quickly and cheaply. The key is in creating high-quality content that will appeal to a large audience. If you can do that, then you’ll be able to leverage your blog into a moneymaking machine!
