So, I decided to explore other platforms and saw Amazon had the perfect solution for me.
Amazon’s affiliate marketing program allows you to make a commission on products that are sold through their platform. If someone clicks on an Amazon link or buys a product that is promoted on the Kindle platform, you’ll earn a small commission. But here’s the catch: you have to have a substantial following on your blog or website in order to make anything remotely close to decent money.
This is why it’s usually best to write a book on a topic that is already proven to be profitable. Finance, tech, and sports are all profitable niches and there are hundreds of thousands of blogs and websites that cover these topics routinely. If you can find a way to integrate affiliate marketing into your content creation process, you’ll be able to build a profitable author platform that will allow you to live your dreams of being a full-time writer.
