I’ve always wished I could make money online without having to do any of the things I was made to do throughout my entire childhood. I grew up in a broken home with a single mother who had to work two jobs just to give us a decent life. She always managed to get us the bare essentials, but no real comfort or luxury items. Money was tight and she had to choose between buying food or paying for our school supplies. It was a daily struggle just to keep us happy and functioning. Sometimes I wonder if she even got enough sleep.
I remember feeling so guilty about all the luxuries I enjoyed as a kid. I would lie in bed at night and ask God to let me be a grown up so I could earn my own money and provide for my family. I prayed for my mom’s success every night, knowing she would be a great writer one day and that her stories would inspire others. I even made a vow to God that if he made me a successful author, I would pay it forward and help other kids with cancer. I felt so blessed that I could make a difference in other people’s lives.
One day, out of the blue, my mom called me and told me she had just been offered a contract to write a book. I had to act quickly because that was all the information she was allowed to give me. She told me the publisher needed someone with her experience to help with the technical aspects of writing a book and to guide them through the whole process. She asked if I would consider being their ghostwriter. While I was hesitant at first, I remembered my vow to God and thought of all the children with cancer I had heard of who were in need of help. So I said yes, I would consider it.
I had no idea what a ghostwriter was or did, but I had to take the job. The pay was decent and I could use the money to help other children with cancer. Now, years later, I can look back and see that I made the right choice. I was able to provide for my family and fulfill my promise to help other kids with cancer. And I feel so blessed that I was able to make a difference in other people’s lives.
Your Experience Is Valuable
While the opportunity to write a book was a blessing, it was also extremely demanding. I had to get up early in the morning to go over the details of the contract with my mom. She would then type up the final draft and send it to the publisher for approval. I would have to go over the content with a professional editor and fix all the grammatical errors and typos. I really had to step up my game to impress this particular editor because she had over 20 books to her name and was well-known for her meticulous editing. I did my best to make sure every word was perfect and I tried to anticipate every single turn of phrase she might use in the editing process. Sometimes I would check my work five or six times just to be sure. I worked hard to make sure I delivered a quality product on time.
I was so invested in this project that when the book was finally published, I read the first few chapters many times over. I was eager to see how everything turned out and hoped the finished product would be as good as I could make it. Fortunately, the editors and my mom were happy with the results and the book became a bestseller.
Writing Is A Skill
Before I pursued a career as a writer, I worked in customer service for a large insurance company. It was a desk job, but I got to listen to customer calls and solve billing problems. While I wasn’t solving major world issues, I was able to use my skills to help others. And that, my friends, is what is called a paying job. Like most jobs, there were times when I didn’t feel like doing it, but I always felt grateful when my boss called on me to help a customer or to analyze some data. I knew I was providing a valuable service to society and I was able to use my skills to help others.
If you’re looking for ways to make money online, focus on developing your skills. Instead of looking for a job that will give you a stipend, look for a job that will allow you to learn new things and get better at what you do. Once you’ve developed your skill set, you can begin looking for jobs in your area that are willing to pay for your expertise. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. As a society, we’ve decided that asking for what we want isn’t a sign of weakness, but rather a strength. If you want to be able to make money online, start by becoming an expert in something.
Creative Writing Can Be Beneficial
In addition to getting paid to write a book, I was also given the opportunity to become a ghostwriter for a creative writing course. For those of you who consider yourselves writers, this job might be right up your alley. You get to be the artistic director of a magazine, deciding what content will go in it and how it will be presented. You get to choose which stories to publish and which to reject. You get to give the stories the proper tone and pitch. And best of all, you get to be creative. You can take a story and expand on it or you can take a story and completely change it around. You get to exercise your creative mind and develop your skill set.
Some of the projects I worked on were very challenging. I had to research the topic and learn as much as I could about it. Sometimes I’d have to look for information that hadn’t been recorded in writing before. I had one project where I had to interview over a hundred people in the area to get the information I needed.
The important thing to keep in mind is that you’re getting paid to learn and improving your skills. This isn’t a job you’re going to be bored at. And better yet, you get to improve the lives of children with cancer. Creative writing can be a powerful tool in curing children with cancer. It can help them express their feelings and what they’ve been through. It can be a form of therapy for them as well as for the author. As a parent, I can’t think of a better job to have.

When you’re a freelancer, you get to set your own hours and take breaks as you please. It’s a great job for someone who loves to travel and meet new people. And best of all, you get to be your own boss. You can choose what projects you want to work on and when you want to work. It’s a truly a dream job for anyone who loves to write.
